It’s easily one of their most successful franchises, famous for its cross-game progressive jackpot. In 2018, however, Playtech came up with a series of finely crafted top online bingo games. Age of the Gods bingo does not feature a progressive jackpot, strictly speaking. However, it comes with a wealth of other features that set it apart from the crowd.

HOW TO PLAY

Once you open enter the online bingo room, you’ll be presented with the recognisable Greek Mythology theme. You’ll have to wait between rounds before you can purchase tickets. Tickets come in at 5 cents apiece, though there are more expensive rooms. You can buy up to 72 of them per round.

Every ticket contains 15 numbers across a 9×3 grid. Each line has 5 numbers. When buying them, you can either get random ones or pick and choose from a wide selection of pre-made tickets. If you like the numbers on a particular ticket, just click on it to add it to your collection.

Once the time window for buying tickets is over, 90 numbers will be drawn at random. If the numbers drawn match 5 numbers on your ticket in a line, you’ll win the prize! Completing 2 lines this way doubles the prize, while all 15 numbers matched will net you the House prize.

The Age of the Gods uses a mechanic of revealing coins to dole out its progressive jackpots. The Age of the Gods Bingo bafflingly does not feature progressive prizes, but the coins make a return.

When someone gets the house prize, the round ends and a 3×3 coin grid appears on the screen. The house prize winner will then flip over coins of their choice until they with 3 of the same God/Goddess. The outcome essentially determines the distribution of the prize between the winner and the community.

These Age of the Gods bingo features are occasionally fun but don’t really offer a bingo bonus. Also, if you’re highly competitive and don’t want to give up any of your winnings, this doesn’t seem like the game for you. Most bingo games feature community prizes, but giving out all 100% can be harsh if you’re the winner.

PAYOUTS

The house prize money depends on the number of sold tickets, which is standard for online bingo. However, the distribution of the prizes is somewhat top-heavy compared to other bingo games online. All in all, Playtech came out with much better internet bingo games in the past. For instance, Deal or No Deal Bingo comes with the progressive jackpots you would expect from Age of the Gods. Rainbow Riches Bingo is another great option, albeit it’s a lot more volatile. As for this title, we can’t say that it’s bad, per se. It’s still a finely crafted online casino bingo game. It just pales compared to the competition, and it doesn’t offer much more than a straightforward bingo room with a snazzy theme.
