Tunzamunni Slot Review

1 People Voted!

Cash Splash is a Microgaming slot launched in 2008. The game houses 3 reels and 1 payline with a 90.03%RTP. This progressive slot game also features mobile, scatter symbols, and wilds. This game has a progressive jackpot and is available for playing on both desktop & mobile.

In many ways, this is the proverbial middle child of Microgaming’s progressive online slot offer. It was horribly outdated and old-fashioned even back when it was released in 2008. Tunzamunni was released after the giant success of Mega Moolah, but forever remained in its shadow.

Still, because there are precious few online slots with progressive jackpots out there, we’re going to give this one a quick look. Our Microgaming Tunzamunni review is here to find out whether this game is worth playing in 2020 – especially compared to competitors like Mega Moolah or Mega Fortune.

There isn’t a lot of nuance to how to play Tunzamunni. In fact, we’d go so far as to say that a lack of special features is this game’s defining characteristic. What we have here is a simple fruit machine. If you like games with a bit more going on, we’d give this one a wide berth.

All you have to do is decide how many coins you’ll use per spin, between 1 and 5. Each has a pre-set value of £0.05, so there aren’t many choices. However, the only way to win the Jackpot is if you bet 5 coins, which is the recommended amount.

Beyond that, you just have 3 reels with a single payline down the middle row. At least you’re always clear whether you won or not.

Casino Chick Best tips for Tunzamunni Slot

  • As with all progressive slots, it’s not worth investing unless the jackpot is at a reasonable amount. The average win for the Tunzamunni Jackpot is around £60.000. Our advice is to wait until it’s at least that size.
  • That said, not many people play Tunzamunni slot these days. Waiting for the right amount might take weeks.

As previously mentioned, this game has no special features to speak of.

Actually, it barely has features of any kind. Even the options are non-existent – the most annoying part being the lack of volume controls. The paytable is always visible on the right side of the screen. If anything, this just showcases the lack of creativity when it comes to symbols. For example, the highest-paying symbols are blue 7s, red 7s, and white 7s.

In terms of special symbols, there’s not a lot to worry about. Mostly because there aren’t any. That said, it’s interesting that different symbols can actually combine into low-paying arrangements. For example, matching three 7 symbols, regardless of colour, will pay out a relatively small amount.

We suppose there’s some appeal in that if you’re into old-school slots. If nothing else, Tunnamunni could be a decent entry-level casino game.

Now we’ll finally get to the real problem with Microgaming Tunzamunni.

The complete lack of special features could be interesting to some players. However, the abysmal RTP rate of 90.03% does not appeal to anyone. To be fair, progressive online slots tend to have poor return-to-player, which lowers the standards a bit. Compared to the 96.00% of Mega Fortune, though, it’s hard to excuse such a poor state of affairs.

There are 7 standard symbols on the paytable. As mentioned previously, most of them are just variations of the common BAR and lucky 7 symbols. To get the Jackpot, you’ll need to hit three different 7 symbols in this exact order: white, red, blue.

what we like

  • No extra symbols, which some players may enjoy.
  • Different symbols can combine into winning paylines.

what we don’t like

  • Horrible RTP.

Some might point to this game’s simplicity as it’s saving grace.

It’s true – some players may be sick of all the Wilds, Scatters, and minigames. We feel, however, that that’s an overwhelmingly small number of people. Even if it applies to you, the cons of this title far outweigh the pros. Microgaming dropped the ball here even on release – let’s not even get started with comparing it to modern games.
